It's here to build on tradition. Missouri produced a lot of spirits before prohibition. Beer came back, wine came back, and through centuries old distilling traditions we are bringing spirits back to the forefront.
We didn't want to just make bourbon and vodka. We want to make the best. Crafted together with a lot of research and taking on the heritage of old recipes, tweaking them to use the key ingredients and components that the state of Missouri offers. We have the climate. We have Great Missouri Oak. The best barrels in the industry are made in Lebanon, Missouri. We have one of the highest quality water sheds in the area, and it's extremely exciting. The ingredients are hand-picked and hand-grown, and I think you just get a better product that's local. So, you get all those benefits at one while supporting the local businesses and farmers.
At 1879, we're building great spirits based on a heritage that's lasted over 170 years. Bringing everything together. To see the team gel and work together is what it's all about. Saint Louisans, are very proud of their heritage. We don't give up. We persevere. When working on this project as long as we have we want to make sure that it's the finest in the industry. To have the spirits come out of the spirit safe was just incredible. It was a great feeling.
Putting the label on the first bottle was exciting to see everything come together. It's taken a lot of time and, and research and work to get where we are today. So that's extremely rewarding.
The taste is in the glass, and we'll put it up against anybody out there.
